History

Iron Spike Brewing Company is a craft brewery and restaurant in downtown Galesburg, dedicated to craft beer, inspirational foods, and building community relationships.

Housed in a historic firehouse that served the city from 1905 to 1970, we transformed this iconic building into a two-story brewery and restaurant in August 2013. After months of careful restoration, our doors officially opened in March 2014, and we’ve been serving Galesburg ever since.

After two successful years, we expanded into distribution, converting the old police station garage behind our building into a manufacturing facility. With substantial fermentation capacity, cold storage, and a canning line, we’re proud to share our beers in both 12oz and 16oz cans.

We have updated the second floor of our main building to include a beautiful banquet area, perfect for private party rentals. This versatile space complements our commitment to providing memorable experiences alongside great food and drink.

As we approach our 11th anniversary in March 2025, we’re grateful for our loyal team members and customers who’ve supported us throughout the years. Iron Spike remains committed to exceptional beer, high-quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
